Contestants will be battling for the coveted Brass Knuckles trophy and $100 gift certificate is up for grabs for 1st place. 2nd receives $50 gift certificate with 3rd getting $25 in quarters. In the event of a tie there will be a tequila shoot out. (trusting of course all contenders are of age!). Last year’s winner and defending champion, Andy Chu, downed just 14, down 5 from his previous victory, to take the title! So start training now.
We will be open from 11am with full brunch menu available. Brass Knuckle Beatdown starts at 5:30pm Monday July 4th and 15 minutes will decide the victor. Registrations are being taken right now and it’s FREE to enter! All contestants must confirm their registration by 5pm on the day at The Libertine Bar 2101 Greenville Ave.

Three of the beers have been cellared in house with varying vintages. There will be a familiar face back in the kitchen for this special event. Chef Roe Dileo has a long history with The Libertine Bar and will grace its kitchen once more to bring you this excellent line up of sour beer & food pairings.
1st Course: Salmon Crudo with sesame, ponzu & cilantro. Paired with New Belgium 2011 Vintage La Folie
2nd Course: Crawfish Bisque. Paired with Sierra Nevada Otra Vez
3rd Course: Hibiscus Cous Cous, wild rocket, goat cheese & sweet plum salad. Paired with Destihl Flanders Red
4th Course: Coffee rubbed beef tenderloin with Lemley tomato & dill potato. Paired with Boulevard Foeder Projekt #1 2013
5th Course: Honey cornbread with braised apricot, bourbon crème anglaise & cayenne almond hard candy.

Celebrating all things ghoulish for our Halloween beer dinner on Wednesday October 28th, we are pulling out of our cellar a couple of very rare beers as well as some other fun ones.
The rare cellared beers featured will be a 2011 Avery Mephistopheles coming in at a whopping 16.43%! Also coming out of the dark is a 2012 Dogfish Head Bitches Brew. Then Jester King Wytchmaker, Ballast Point Dead Ringer & Southern Tier PumKing will round it out.
1st Course: Trio of Offal: Sweet Breads, Livers & Gizzards served with accompaniments. Paired with Jester King Wytchmaker.
2nd Course: Spicy Venison Chili w/ Bleu Cheese Creme Fraiche. Paired with Dogfish Head 2012 Bitches Brew.
3rd Course: Butternut Squash, Spinach Fettucine w/ Pig Head Flesh. Paired with Ballast Point Dead Ringer.
